May 26-28 - Elk Country Animal Shelter Annual Garage Sale - 9am - 5pm (9am to 4 pm on Sunday) - Garage sale takes place at the Montmorency County 4H Fairgrounds. Donate your treasures to help the animals! Please donate useable, clean items. We're sorry but we don't take clothing, mattresses, old TV's or any refrigeration/freon related. Please bring any of your items to the fairgrounds on May 20 (10am-4pm), or May 24-26 (10am-4pm), thank you!
May 27, 2023 - Annual Yard Sale - Held at Brush Creek Mill - Bring items during open hours. Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, Brush Creek Mill hosts an annual yard sale. Items may be donated to the Mill to support the Mill’s fundraising efforts. Tables are available to rent for community members at a low cost. This is a great opportunity to clean out unwanted items and to find a special item to take home. All donations are greatly appreciated.

July 9 - "Teeing Up For Kids" A golf tournament fundraiser to support children's activities at the Brush Creek Mill. Golf Tournament at Thunder Bay Resort. Brush Creek Mill supports the youth and children of the county in a variety of ways. The annual “Teeing Up For Kids’ golf tournament at Thunder Bay Resort in Hillman funds the Mill’s support to the children.

December 3, 2023 - Commemorative Tree Ceremony 4 p.m. - Brush Creek Mill - Join us at the Mill for a celebration honoring family, friends, service men and women and/or an organization. Names of those being honored will be read aloud and their commemorative bulb is hung on the Mill Christmas tree. Music of the season and Christmas treats will be offered. There is no charge for this event. If you would be interested in purchasing a commemorative bulb, please contact us to place your order. The bulbs are only $5.00 each.

Other Activities at Brush Creek Mill
Music at the Mill– Every third Friday of the month year round. Open “mic.” Sign-up to play or sing. Music starts at 7:00. Concession stand open. Free admission.

Saturday Activities– Spinners & Knitters Group, informal get together. No charge. Share conversation and ideas.

Scrapbooking– This group meets the Third Saturday of the month, October through May. No charge. Open to all interested in this popular hobby. Help for beginners. If you would like to get started, all are welcome to join.
